The reason we want SIP2 users to only have the :ref:`circulate permission <permission-circulate-label>` rather than the :ref:`superlibrarian permission <permission-superlibrarian-label>` is to reduce the access SIP2 users have to confidential patron data in case the system was compromised.
Der Grund, warum wir wollen, dass SIP2-Benutzer*innen nur die Berechtigung :ref:`circulate <permission-circulate-label>` und nicht die :ref:`superlibrarian-Berechtigung <permission-superlibrarian-label>`haben, liegt darin, dass SIP2-Benutzer*innen im Falle einer Kompromittierung des Systems weniger Zugriff auf vertrauliche Benutzerdaten haben.

The values in the mapping area are not always the same, and it depends on what is in your organisations LDAP database. For example some organisations do not use <userid> instead each user is only identified by the <email> field and so no <userid> is written.
Die Werte in den Mappings variieren und hängen davon ab, was in Ihrer LDAP-Datenbank gespeichert ist. Zum Beispiel verwenden einige Organisationen nicht das Feld <userid>, sondern identifizieren den/die Benutzer*in über das Feld <email>, so dass keine <userid> ausgegeben wird.

To authenticate a user do we bind as them (seems to be common for AD) or do we use an account and login with that and then check? If the latter, we'll need details of how to log in

<renewalok> is a single character value which is either Y or N. The logic for the setting of the value of <renewalok> is Y is set when the item is already checkout by the user and so it should be desensitized thereby renewing it, whereas N is set if the item is not already checkout to the patron and so it should not be renewed.
<renewalok> ist ein Wert mit einem Zeichen Länge, der entweder Y oder N ist.
