When set to "allow", library staff are required to use their judgment when overriding the renewal limit in special cases. Setting it to "don't allow" prevents library staff from using their discretion.
Bei der Einstellung „Zulassen“ muss das Bibliothekspersonal in besonderen Fällen nach eigenem Ermessen entscheiden, ob es die Verlängerungsfrist überschreitet. Die Einstellung „Nicht zulassen“ verhindert, dass das Bibliothekspersonal nach eigenem Ermessen entscheiden kann.

This system preference controls staff's ability to override the limits placed on the number of times an item can be renewed. Setting it to "Allow" overrides these limits, setting it to "Don't allow" prevents this.
Dieser Systemparameter legt fest, ob das Bibliothekspersonal das Limit an möglichen Verlängerungen eines Exemplars aufheben können. Bei der Einstellung „Zulassen“ wird das Limit aufgehoben, bei der Einstellung „Nicht zulassen“ wird dies verhindert.
