This parameter should be used in conjunction with :code:`--statistics`. E.g. :code:`--statistics 365 --statistics-type writeoff --statistics-type payment` will remove from the statistics table any entries with type writeoff or payment older than a year.
Dieser Parameter sollte in Verbindung mit :code:`--statistics` verwendet werden. Beispielsweise entfernt :code:`--statistics 365 --statistics-type writeoff --statistics-type payment` alle Einträge mit dem Typ „writeoff” oder „payment”, die älter als ein Jahr sind, aus der Statistiktabelle.

Suggestion added
This parameter can be used in conjunction with :code:`--log-module`. E.g. :code:`--logs 30 --log-module=MEMBERS --log-action=CREATE` will remove from the action\_logs table the CREATE action entries related to the MEMBERS module and older than 30 days.
Dieser Parameter kann in Verbindung mit :code:`--log-module` verwendet werden. Beispielsweise entfernt :code:`--logs 30 --log-module=MEMBERS --log-action=CREATE` aus der Tabelle action\_logs alle CREATE-Aktions-Einträge, die sich auf das Benutzermodul beziehen und älter als 30 Tage sind.

Check how far back entries date to in your statistics table before using this script. If necessary, trim statistics with the :ref:`cleanup\_database.pl script <cron-clean-up-database-label>`.
