When this system preference is set to 'Include', the search engine indexer will insert *see from* headings from authority records (fields 4XX) into bibliographic records when indexing, so that a search on an obsolete term will return newer relevant records. For example, searching for 'cookery' (the old term) will also return titles with the heading 'cooking' (the new term).

For example, when set to 'Include': if your authority record for 'Internet literacy' has 'Information literacy' (broader heading) in the 550 field, when searching for 'Information literacy' you will also see titles that use solely the narrower heading 'Internet literacy'.
