After clicking the 'Confirm hold' button, the patron will be brought to their :ref:`account page <your-summary-label>` where they'll see all of the items they have on hold.
Una volta fatto clic sul pulsante Prenota l'utente sarà portata alla sua pagina di account dove si vedranno tutte le copie che ha prenotato.

Depending on the :ref:`circulation rules <circulation-and-fines-rules-label>` regarding item-specific holds, the patron will be allowed to choose whether to place the hold on the next available item or a specific item.

Expired holds are removed by the :ref:`cancel\_expired\_holds.pl cronjob <cron-expired-holds-label>`. This is not an automatic process and must be set up by the system administrator.

Hold not needed after: by default, holds placed in the system remain until canceled, but if the patron fills in this field, the hold will have an expiration date.
